Job Description

Our culture editor should be able to work in a number of ways: doing daily web reporting on calendar events and breaking culture news; building feature stories for the monthly print magazine; and sharing all culture news and features on our social media platforms. The candidate will be responsible for conducting, transcribing and self-editing interviews for weekly web features; and should feel comfortable generating story ideas as well as writing assigned stories.
Interested candidates should send a resumé (and any relevant writing clips) to Stephanie Smittle at [email protected] (Smittle, our current culture editor, is sticking around! She’ll be moving into a new role at the Arkansas Times.)
